SUAFA ECONOMIC GROWTH CENTRE GROUND BREAKING

12 years of spell after the Suafa Bay Economic Growth Centre was signed between the National Government, Malaita Provincial Government and the Kwanai Trust Board has ended, with the prioritization of the project by the national government resulting in its groundbreaking ceremony this morning.

Constituents of South Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands have received boats and Out Boat Motors (OBM) which cost 1.7 million in Constituency Development Funds (CDF). These were received by the 17 Chairmen representing their communities in the constituency. The boats and OBMs were procured under the South Guadalcanal Constituency Emergency Transport Project 2022, emergency commitments.

$ Billions To Address Pacific Infrastructure Needs

The Pacific region requires $3.1 billion annually to fully address its infrastructure needs. This was an estimate by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) recorded in the Pacific Regional Infrastructure Facility (PRIF) 2021 annual report.
