REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification has received budget financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Solomon Islands Sustainable Mining Development Technical Assistance Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the following consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include the Environmental and Social Risk Specialist who will work under the general control and direction of the SMDTAP Project Manager.

The Solomon Islands Sustainable Mining Development Technical Assistance Project (SISMDTAP) now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (“the Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

Applications must include 3 parts with the following format and content:

  1. A brief covering letter introducing yourself and explaining why you are interested in this post (maximum 1 page).
  2. A resume (CV) showing personal details, work experience, and education, along with the names of three work related references (maximum 3 pages).
  3. A claim for the position (with each essential and desirable criterion of the TOR as a sub-heading) that addresses how your experience is applicable to each criterion and providing examples relevant to the post’s key tasks and responsibilities (maximum 4 pages).
